A 0-to-1 product and brand that makes healthcare pricing clear enough to trust, for providers and patients alike.
HyveHealth (formerly Atex Financial) set out to give patients and providers accurate, transparent estimates for healthcare costs under CMS price-transparency requirements.
That meant building a product UI, a coherent brand and a marketing site that could explain healthcare pricing simply and trustworthily, largely as a solo design lead.
Providers juggle dozens of estimates against a deadline, so their dashboard leads with an estimate counter and color-coded timers. Patients usually have one, so theirs leads with the procedure, the providers involved and the total cost in big, plain numbers.
Patient info, procedure info, providers and send, as four clear steps with status on each.
A distinctive hexagon system ties the product, brand and marketing site together and makes the ‘Hyve’ name visible.
Countdown timers and red, amber and green states show what needs attention first.
Evaluated web themes, chose typography and prototyped a conversational, low-friction sign-up on a staging site.
Creating a Good Faith Estimate used to mean juggling forms. The wizard breaks it into Patient Info, Procedure Info, Add Providers and Send Estimate, with a progress bar and a status on every step, while the estimate card stays in view on the left.
Patient, facility and every provider at the top. Line items with CPT-style codes, rates and quantities that total automatically. Then an activity log that records every send, open and reminder, notes, terms acceptance and a single Send Estimate action.
The activity log collapses to its three most recent events, so the page stays calm until you need the history.
Every system email shares one layout, a bolt icon and a clear call to action. The header color carries the status, using the same palette as the dashboard, so a patient or provider knows what kind of update it is before reading a word.
Delivered a cohesive product and brand system spanning UI, marketing site and UX strategy for an early-stage healthcare startup.
